I’m Valentin Racat, a French guy with a great love for video games.

It is a medium that offers an unparalleled level of expressiveness and interaction, making each game a truly unique experience.

Ever since I was young, I wanted to create my own video games and that’s what got me interested in computer science.

After several years, prototypes and game jams, I wanted to realise one of my first dream.

Having worked as a cybersecurity engineer, I’ve decided to jump into the independent video game world by founding Strigian Studio.

Values

Promote free software

One of the studio’s main principle is to highlight software and solutions that bring independance to its users.

Which in most cases means using FOSS. Below you will find all the tools used to create the studio’s video games.

Encourage sharing

It is always exciting to know what goes on behind the scenes and how the creative process works.

That’s why you’ll find multiple articles on this site’s blog, as well as contributions that can be found on Codeberg.

Provide accessibility

Disability can often be a barrier to fully enjoying a video game experience.

To minimize that, several ergonomic options will be added during or after the game development based on player’s feedback, to ensure that everyone can benefit from a similar experience.
